The largest of BC’s shrimp species, spot prawns’ large size and firm tasty meat make them a favourite here in Canada and around the world. You can feel the excitement in Vancouver leading up to each spot prawn season. Available live during their spring season or frozen year-round, our spot prawns can be cooked so many ways, but are often best just in a pan with butter and garlic.
Our spot prawn tubs are in 1 lb, the tails are ocean run* and frozen in water. Quantity is approximately 25-32 tails per lb.
